Erin Ivey

Erin has worked in the hospitality industry going on 16 years now starting as a server in college. It wasn’t long before she started bartending. Coming from a biology and chemical major, she became very interested in the physical properties of mixing ingredients in cocktails. 14 years ago, at Ben’s Next Door, Erin got her first glimpse of craft cocktails at and has embraced that as a passion. She’s spent this last decade in some of Washington D.C.’s best craft cocktail programs including Lincoln, District Distilling, and La Vie, now calling Chicken + Whiskey home. Her favorite spirits to work with are gin and whiskey. She upholds the standards of the classic cocktails, but also loves to make new spins on some old well documented favorites. Erin’s words to live by, “If you do not possess the knowledge, how could you possibly not possess the thirst to obtain it?
